From residents’ daily issues to long-range policy planning, our mission is to:
• Promote and endorse a clean, safe and stable neighbor hood while respecting the diversity of all our neighbors
• Provide a community liaison with our Alderman and other public officials
• Promote community discussion and information sharing
• Take a proactive role in future land use planning including density, parking, green space, congestion and building heights
• Encourage and support the preservation, renovation, and, when appropriate, adaptive reuse of the historic building stock in the neighborhood
• Maintain a vital mix of residential, commercial and institutional uses essential to a balanced urban setting
• Provide and foster a social outlet
